Dave Thomas began his life-long co-dependant romance with music in general, and with drums in particular, when he was 11. At one time or another, he has played, gigged, and/or recorded with a wide assortment rock, blues, jazz, and folk/country bands and musicians. Dave spent 3 years studying jazz drumming with the great Bay-Area based drummer, Wally Schnalle. With middle age came a love for Americana. Dave has dedicated himself to discovering the nuances of drumming to traditional and roots American music. In this quest he has been fortunate enough to connect with Chuck Hamilton of the Waybacks, from whom Dave has learned much about the art of drumming behind acoustic instrumentation. Dave also plays mandolin and guitar.

Joe Buczek has been inspired by such artists as Eric Clapton, Buddy Emmons, Gram Parsons, Neil Young, Larry Carlton, Bela Fleck, and Gentle Giant. Joe started playing guitar in high school around 1967 and has been playing various instruments and recording actively for the past 20 years. One thing led to another, and he woke up playing a pedal steel one day (it was bound to happen). When he isn't playing with The Old Spice Boys, Joe plays banjo and dobro in the acoustic group, Briarwood. |
